Art Central Hong Kong 2026

2026 Mar 24 - 2026 Mar 29

Our proposed artists include:

1. Koon Wai Bong (Hong Kong/Taiwan), Born in 1974 and based in Taiwan currently. In his painting, the calligraphic expression of brushwork and the manifold layering of ink washing or colour tinting drive him to travel to ancient times.

2. Deng Xiao (China), Graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in 2012 with a master’s degree in oil paintings. He examines two distinct artistic styles, Neoclassicism and Surrealism and explores new meaning of art style that unites them.

3. Huang Po Hsun (Taiwan), In his works also often discuss the matter of time and space, in which he likes to present a visualization of both aspects in the picture where there is light in the works.  It creates the feeling that is in the scope of life

4. Hyun Joung Lee (South Korea), Born in Seoul in 1972, her work reflects her childhood memories in South Korea, which she calls paths, can awaken history buries in each of us, and involve us in a personal and spiritual journey. Each line is seen as a day, or an instant we have already live through or that we are still living.

5. Eun Vivian Lee (South Korea),   Vivian began painting as a way to interpret her inner emotions into pieces of art. Her current work––painting hundreds of dots on paper––evokes a language of serenity and pastoral imagery. She hopes others can also appreciate the meditativeness of her work.

6. Uchida Nozomu (Japan), his artworks transforming the artist’s playful picture of animals into mechanics requires powerful force. What shapes Uchida’s 3D works is the traditional technique of Tankin (metal hammering), applying various types of hammers to a piece of heated iron.

7. Tokuhiro Kawai (Japan). Traditionally, pictorial expression served as a method to reproduce a certain story, such as souls people used to worship, miracles of the holy, historical roles in war, etc. In other words, the history of pictorial expression is history of

reproduction, although sometimes the painter captured and expressed something more than a mimesis and renewed our vision of the world we live.

8. Giraffe Leung (Hong Kong), Giraffe Leung Lok Hei obtained his M.A, in Fine Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2021. He continues his artistic experimentation with found objects and instantly reacts to the daily nonsense with his works.

9. Gordon Hopkins (USA),  his distinctive technique involves building layers of oil stick to create unique texture and depth in his work . Hopkins draws inspiration from simple, everyday subjects like lemons or fish, as well as landscapes.
