ArtWalk 2011 is organized by the Hong Kong galleries and is Hong Kong’s biggest annual charity art event that, since its inception in 2001, has raised nearly HK$5 million for charity from the sale of ArtWalk tickets. ArtWalk celebrates art and food – and you can also enjoy wine, water and beer – and as you walk around, you can also celebrate historic Central Hong Kong where many galleries are situated. The 2011 benefiting charity will again be the Society for Community Organization (SoCO) - who received HK$428,000 from last year's ArtWalk. SoCO is a non-profit community charitable organisation formed in 1972 that believes in equal opportunity of participation and fair distribution of social resources to be the foundation of human rights.
