60s 70s 80s
"60s 70s 80s" was the gallery's inaugural exhibition of five Chinese contemporary artists featuring both oil paintings and sculptures. Bringing together works of artists from three very unique generations in China, this exhibition provides you with insightful views of the Chinese Contemporary Art’s evolution.
60s – Repression: a generation filled with pain and oppression (Ha Shiyou and Chen Yanqing)
70s – Hope: a generation who witnessed the critical change of the social environment due to the nation’s open-up policy and hope for a better future (Wang Yang)
80s – Lost: a generation untouched by the nation’s painful past and is lost in transition (Deng Chengwen, Su Jinyeng)
